Looking for a device to effectively measure temperature and humidity in outdoor or harsh environments? With Lansen’s OT-series, you can easily read temperature and humidity with high accuracy, even in harsh environments like in a freezer.

The OT-series comes in a few different variants, to summarize:

  • LAN-WMBUS/MIOTY-O-T: Measures outdoor temperature in a recommended temperature interval of -20C to +50C (max -30C to +85C). Note that this sensor is not designed for operating in constant freezing temperature.
  • LAN-WMBUS/MIOTY-O-TH: Measures outdoor temperature and humidity with a recommended temperature interval of -20C to +50C (max -30C to +85C). Note that this sensor is not designed for operating in constant freezing temperature.
  • LAN-WMBUS-O-T-H: Measures outdoor temperature in harsh environments with a recommended temperature interval of -30C to +50C (max -35C to +85C). This device is suitable for harsher environments such as freezer rooms.
  • LAN-WMBUS/MIOTY-O-TH-H: Measures outdoor temperature and humidity in harsh environments with a recommended temperature interval of -30C to +50C (max -35C to +85C). This device is suitable for harsher environments such as freezer rooms.

All devices in the series are easy to install and requires no configuration. The sensors are made of highly durable PC plastic and offer a high degree of quality. The on-board temperature sensor is highly accurate with typical accuracy ±0.20C. Even better accuracy is possible upon request. Furthermore, the on-board humidity sensor is highly accurate in the entire temperature range, with typical accuracy ±2%RH (relative humidity).

The wireless M-Bus devices are available in both C-,T-, or S-mode. The mioty versions are available in mioty ETSI TS-103-357.

The internal radio antennas are tuned for mounting on concrete, wood or plaster. The antennas are optimized for 868Mhz. To maximize the range between meters and the collector, each device has two antennas pointed in each direction. This reduces any potential polarization issues. Thanks to this, the sensor is more flexible to use in different solutions since it can send out data both vertically and horizontally.

The battery level is continuously monitored, and a low-level warning is used when battery is nearing depletion. All sensors from the OT-series have an estimated lifespan of 14 years, depending on configuration and operating temperature.

Temperature and humidity are continuously sent at a preconfigured interval. The send interval can in turn be modified from 60 seconds up to an hour, depending on your need. The data is sent using either the wireless M-Bus protocol OMS compliant or the mioty protocol, which makes the sensor ideal for integration in data collecting systems.

For the wireless M-Bus version, the device complies with the OMS 4 synchronize message, sending the data pseudo random to avoid collisions. For the mioty version, The data from the device is protected using the AES128 encryption compliant with mioty standard.

The enclosure does not need to be opened when starting the device, simply use a magnet and the device will be activated. The device is resistant to raining water and completely waterproof. The device should, if possible, be installed away from rain and sunlight.
